The IUSB Investment Club was founded in 2019 by Senior Hanah Gerencer and four other IUSB students: JD DeSouza, Yvette Leyva, Philipp Mischke, and Emmanuel Aguilar-Morales. With an interest in personal investing and an aspiration to spread basic investment knowledge, the club was born. With the help of classmates and professors, the Investment Club has taken off and currently holds around twenty dedicated, active members.

In our 2019 semester, the Investment Club has learned numerous stock basics. From general vocabulary, learning how to read a stock chart summary, calculating dividend percentages, and live stock market research, the club offers something fresh and new for students who have a genuine interest in investing. A student-run club, the organization hopes to collaborate with more student organizations in the future.

With the majority of founding club members studying New Media, the Investment Club has gained quite the fan base over the course of only a few months. Investment Club articles have been voiced in two IUSB student publications, "The Preface" and "Aspire."
